The Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (SJDB) provides an allowance for educational retraining or skill enhancement for qualifying injured workers. This benefit is provided as a voucher that can be used at state-approved or accredited schools. The voucher is non-transferable. A voucher issued after January 1, 2013 will expire two years after the date of issue or five years after the date of injury, whichever is later.

To use the benefit, you must complete the SJDB voucher, identifying the approved school, training program, and/or approved vocational return to work counselor you would like to use. The completed voucher should be returned to State Fund for payment of the benefit.
SJDB benefits may be used for various types of qualifying expenses depending on your date of injury.

Benefits will be paid within 45 days after we receive the completed voucher.
